Paris is a city that is constantly changing and this fact can be seen in its innovative architecture and design. The city is a veritable capital of architecture and is a trendsetter in this domain, audaciously combining the grandeur of Haussmanian buildings with contemporary structures. New spaces, such as the Cité de la mode et du design, the CENTQUATRE and the Gaîté-Lyrique are examples of this marriage of styles. Designer’s Days, Maison & Objet and Paris Design Week are now important, internationally renowned events that should not be missed. Paris is also evolving thanks to the project Grand Paris. In the short term, this will see the construction of new buildings such as the Hemingway Tower at La Défense and the renovation of Les Halles, as well as the development of certain areas like the Vallée de la culture on the Île Seguin and in the long term, the upgrading of transport systems and the redevelopment of certain areas.
